"Cheap" and "emergency" may not fit in one sentence, but in this case the price is not directly related to the quality! This kit contains almost everything you need. However, I strongly believe that you should build your own kit and include things that you personally think you will need/need/use in an emergency. This kit will help you stay ahead of the curve and even has extra pocket space. Great for adding more stuff OR just nice not to stuff everything back into a tiny bag after use! The most unexpected element in the set for me, believe it or not, was a flashlight. It's three LEDs (so no blown bulbs) that are crank operated (so no dead/leaking batteries). But it seems very effective. After 4-5 starts the LEDs were at full blast for about 5 minutes when I left them on. I'm tired of waiting for them to die. hahaha, I have two glowsticks. Remember that glow sticks have an expiry date. Although I found some numbers stamped on one end of the package, I couldn't make out the date. The only number that COULD be a date is BJ0320. Maybe March 2020, but I highly doubt it. The rubber strap seemed of sufficient quality to me, which surprised me as much as the multi-tool. This isn't a tanner or tanner, of course, but better than some "flea markets" or "distributions" I've come across. Gloves, I thought we were actually above average. They are quite thick and the textured surface offers excellent grip. All in all a very solid kit. Worth every penny and more. Ideas for other items I will include in the kit? Rubber gloves are a must. I'm happy to help in the event of an accident. but I will not stain myself with someone else's blood. I have too many open wounds on my arms to take that risk. Otherwise, I'll probably add a small ratchet screwdriver with various bits and expand the first-aid kit. For example, a series of turnstiles. Maybe a small pair of hard scissors? And then some real survival gear, like some calorie bars, another rescue blanket, waterproof matches and LifeStraw would be a great idea.
