My favorite part of this set are the silicone gloves. It's definitely helpful! With 3 instant pots, I never thought there was a better option than simply using a kitchen towel to take the hot inner pot out of the pot. When I saw this set I knew I had to buy it. I had so many problems with the dish towel or hot pads that I got frustrated and the food was spoiled. Now I use these gloves to hold the pot while scraping out the inside of the food or pouring out the hot boiling liquid. I never have to worry about slipping out of the potty or burning my hands. Along with these mittens, this kit includes a silicone stand. I already have coasters so that wasn't needed. I force myself to put the hot inner pot on a grate and not on a wooden cutting board because the grate is there. The design of this stand is silly. The little squares do a great job of trapping liquids and food in their small spaces. Cleaning this stand by hand requires scrubbing, which is tedious. Instead, I prefer a smooth surface so you can just wash the stand and walk away. This stand costs me time and requires too much effort. I haven't used the suction lid but look forward to putting it to good use. Keeping food warm while transporting plates is one application that comes to mind. I'm sure there are more uses.
