Love these ratchet straps. They are immediately ready for use: the strap does not have to be wrapped around the ratchet. The strap rolls up its full length for easy storage. I tied four wheels with snow tires to the trunk and drove across three states with no problem. . When I got to my destination, they were still tight. When I'm done, I adjust the handle and the straps loosen slightly, with the handle locked and the mechanism automatically winding the strap. I am very happy with it. They are way better than other ratchet straps I've used at the big hardware stores. The time saved and the lack of frustration are worth it.
