Tokina AF 12-24mm f/4 AT-X 124 Pro DX II Lens - Nikon mount

I found this lens and figured it out, kicked the tires, slammed the doors HOLY MOM! Great lens! I took several shots at all focal lengths. Rich colors, sharp images, excellent contrast. I tried it on the D90 and even the images on the back of the screen were sharper than the Nikkor AF 35-70mm (never thought it would happen in such an unexpected place). Internal focusing is fast and smooth, very quiet, very still (almost no vibration). A little distortion at the edges at 12mm (nothing can be edited with any program like Photoshop, it can even be done in camera) is quite normal for any lens of this length unless it has a linear design, in this one If the cost is going to be...let's face it, who has that kind of money? I'm not a numbers freak, I don't look at EVERY pixel to be precise, I just want above average results and this lens delivers them effortlessly! This is the second Tokina lens (there's also an 80-200mm f/2.8 AT-X with manual focus) that I own and it does everything I've come to expect from them. The quality of the lens is top notch, best in class in my humble opinion, built like a brick you know what and at a reasonable price it even looks hot to boot! If you want a quality lens of this kind without spending a lot of money, don't be intimidated by the megapixel goodies, but buy it, learn it and HAVE FUN!
