My husband started using this first and I found it odd to use tooth oil but after Sensodyne stopped working on my tooth sensitivity I switched. You have to get used to the smell. The first few weeks were a bit bitter. And the mint is intense. But after drinking about 1/3 of the bottle I was completely used to it. I rinse my toothbrush under the tap so it gets completely wet. And then add 3-4 drops of tooth oil and brush as usual (I like a fairly damp toothbrush and I'm the type that mixes my toothpaste with water). After brushing my teeth my mouth feels fresh and my teeth are smooth and clean. No residue or chalky feeling like toothpaste. Now the oil seems sweet to me. After that, you can't go back to regular toothpaste. The only downside is that it doesn't offer any whitening benefits, but that's not a big deal to me.
