Update: Cardinal Gates provided free parts. I'm happy to just swap it out and not send the gate to the landfill. Gate is still fine a few weeks later. As mentioned at the beginning, I liked the gate very much and from now on with a new working bolt. I am increasing my rating from 1 to 4.===Original rating: I liked the gate very much - however - after 3 weeks of light use, the bolt (plastic part, see photo) broke. Contacted Cardinal Gates customer service directly (customerservice@cardinalgates.com), explained the situation and provided proof of purchase date. Although they were quick to respond, they said $11 for parts. Asked and confirmed yes - they would have preferred to return all the gates to Revain (and toss them in a landfill) rather than do better and provide parts for free given the timeframe of doing the repairs themselves. Throw away or repair - how wasteful and wrong.
