nope Buy something else. It's not worth it.

I am very dissatisfied with this purchase. The reviews were decent and I didn't want to be cheap so I bought a budget sharpener. Let's look at all the shortcomings of this thing. The sharpener has different "depths" as settings on the side. I assumed this would determine the number of turns of the sharpener. nope Not sure what he's doing. or maybe mine was broken, I don't know. - I was expecting the sharpener to require user input to determine when to start/stop. This happens once and then you have to pull out the pin and start over. Sharpening a dull pencil isn't that difficult, but sharpening a new pencil is. It took about 10-15 times to insert and remove the sharpener to get a decent (not even sharp) sharpness. The waste compartment is very dirty. At first I couldn't figure out how to deflate it, I expected it to stretch just fine. nope The container simply leans back on both sides. So if you don't open it all the way over the bin, it will end up EVERYWHERE. I ran the above tests while the device was online. It looks like it has a battery slot, but if it's that bad with power I would imagine it's just as or more frustrating with batteries. There's also a reverse button under the sharpener I guess, so if something gets stuck you can release it? My button did nothing. It gets 2 stars because it works. But it comes back. So you can see how ridiculous this is. You have to constantly lift and reinsert the pencil to make it work as a sharpener. It took 1 minute to sharpen a new pencil.

Pros
  • Auto Start & Pencil Saving
Cons
  • No Instructions
