NOTE. I had to give 3 stars because I tried 1 and 2 stars and my comments were not published. Yes, I bought this product. 10 cameras not recognized at all. I figured it would take time and continued. Setup complete. I waited and nothing, the camera's IP address did not appear, the camera did not appear. I started troubleshooting as I work in a similar technical field. And installed several NVR systems for people's homes. I used original cables, I used shorter cables to make sure there was no voltage. Drop issues, I can confirm the camera boots and is powered by the hidden bezel, I can see the night vision LED and hear the switch, I thought it might be network (though unlikely) with ethernet, no ethernet, configured my router to allow it to bypass the router's firewall. I checked all settings, double checked, found YT site for swann when setting up, swann official site doesn't even recognize this model. I opened up the camera to see if there was a reset and lo and behold, the first NVR camera system I found without a reset. Same for real NVR without reset? Yes of course I checked ALL the menu options and even searched the internet. I was convinced that it must be the cameras as I see them that are powered by POE. So I opened up my 2 new replacement camera boxes that I bought with this 10 camera system (if you've ever had an NVR in the house the cameras will fail over time and finding the exact model becomes difficult, especially over time ). I connected it, nothing, turned off the NVR (which restarts the master but keeps the previous information), nothing, the IP address of the camera was not shown. Remember, close the camera shutter and night vision is on, it's still on. So there is no free connection. Now you can tell me I'm disappointed, I installed 5 cameras out of 10 and decided to check, these spots were in the high wall of my outside house, it wasn't easy and now I have to remove and reinstall my old one system. one more remark, the box i received was not damaged in any way, it was a bit basic, i could tell, no identification except barcode stickers with a couple of boxes, maybe revain had in stock the right camera boxes, but wrong one NVR who knows. I can tell In no NVR system I have installed I have seen one with POE ports without amber and green LED. Bottom line - possibly the wrong NVR was sent but the correct cameras as the packaging was very standardized and the component boxes had barcodes inside. Who knows. What I can say is that the NVR assembly was very cheap. There is no excuse for the POE ports not having an amber/green LED, that they cannot be fully reset, the rectifier module resides in the wall outlet like a laptop and not in a standard 120v power cord plug like a TV. Swann, I have been using your system in my own home for 8 years, I am not sure how profit and quality are measured at your company but I can tell that your quality systems have deteriorated significantly. Your cameras were of great build quality, now everything is plastic, even the positioning format is ARCHAIC at best, unscrew the gimbal screw for positioning? Serious? Sorry but that's my fault too, I chose a very well selling system, saw the price and jumped at 850. Save your money, look elsewhere - with me.
