Review on πŸ“ OXO Good Grips Angled Measuring Cup Set - Complete 3-Piece Collection for Precise Measurements by Andrew Patel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Engineered for convenience, not durability

Let's break down the arguments against these measuring cups and see how they counteract those complaints. "Inaccuracy" Of course. Maybe they are a bit imprecise. But this is a kitchen, not a chemistry lab! You will neither see nor feel the difference. "Hard to wash." Just throw them in the dishwasher. They are actually dishwasher safe, no need to hand wash them. All you do is make it harder for yourself. Even if they're in the dishwasher, you won't rub the numbers off with a scratchy rag. "They don't water well." Yes, they lie. Don't worry, only a very small percentage of people have this problem. Now let's talk about some more serious disadvantages. "They melt in the microwave." It's true. I haven't tested this, but that's because OXO goes to great lengths to warn people against trying this. If you have any, you'll need separate glass dishes for microwaveable oils. "They don't last long." That's the biggest problem I've had with this product. The drawn measurements will erase over time, and finding a way to delay the inevitable isn't worth it. I really wish they would last as long as the classic Pyrex glass measuring cups. or that OXO will at least make a recyclable version of it. However, the convenience of the top-down statement is worth the sacrifice. Final verdict, if you need a fairly accurate, durable, and most importantly SIMPLE way of measuring wet ingredients, then this kit is for you. If you want something that will last forever and fit in the microwave, look elsewhere.
