Bought and fitted over the factory metal heat shields on my Vortec 8100 496 plug wires as I removed the exhaust manifold heat shields. These Male Wire Heat Shields easily slipped over existing metal heat shields/springs and even bypassed the angled connector with ease. Remember that the sewn end MUST NOT be the end above the fork. The ring end opposite the sewn end should be over the plug/duster. Great fit and seemingly well made product at an extremely affordable price. It's definitely worth the rest. Only tested a few miles with no issues, but will update rating if not working properly under heavy towing/loading. Combined with GM's factory metal heat shields, I expect absolutely no exhaust heat issues.
