I have several other rash guards but they don't have a zip feature and I have to say it's a really good feature! Significantly less effort when boarding and alighting. One downside to the zipper is that it kind of folds up at the top, but that doesn't matter. Maybe he's a bit big? Anyway, size 12-18 seemed to fit my age of 13 months with room for growth.
