Review on Tires Michelin Primacy 3 205/55 R16 91V runFlat by Mateusz Roczon ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

On the one hand, tires are ideal for capitals with good roads and good tracks in terms of handling, comfort and silence. On the other hand, it makes noise on unimportant roads, but, as I understand from the reviews, it is a little tougher than, for example, Continental and therefore a) stronger on bumps, less torn and pierced b) lasts longer. Therefore, for bad roads, it is preferable in terms of reliability, handling and comfort on bumps, but it can be inferior in noise (although they say that Kontiki is still noisier). What is your priority - decide for yourself.

Pros
  • Kia Sid car. I can compare with Hankook Ventus Prime 225/45/17 and Bridgestone Spike 01 205/55/16. Due to the low profile and weight of the wheels, the Hankooks turned out to be too hard, it was not possible to drive on our roads (although they handled and braked remarkably), so I decided to change to something more comfortable. I also replaced the wheels with 16, so the total weight of the wheel decreased by 4 kg, and all wheels by 16 kg. This also improved the ride (as a plus 160 kg to the mass of the car), in conjunction with new tires. 1. Confident handling, the car rulitsya predictably, at the level of Hankook and much better than cotton breeches. At a speed of 130-140 it is quite confident, even on patched tracks. On good roads, 160 km / h is normal. 2. Comfortable passage of various irregularities. Shallow pits, cracks, railway crossings are much softer than Hankuk. Deep ones are also better, because. where soft breeches made their way to the suspension - Michelin does not break through and passes more elastically. It was generally impossible to drive along the dirt comb on Hankook, up to 20 km / h and shook out the whole car - now it’s calmly 40-50. At speed on a track with poor coverage, only slaps on cracks and patches are heard, and the car sways slightly, I didn’t even expect it. 3. Braking is solid and predictable, but seems to be inferior to the wider 17 tires (to be expected). 4. Absolute silence on good roads, but there are few of them.
Cons
  • Acoustic comfort depends on the quality of the road. On smooth asphalt without stones - just perfect silence, on fine-grained - a slight rustle, on coarse-grained - background noise appears, which is not annoying, but clearly present. Although it is difficult to say which tires will not make noise on a bad road.
