Well, it was good while it lasted.
It just broke today while I was loosening the grip to change bits; I heard an odd set of lose sounding clicks. When I started to use it, it started smoking near the back of the drill.It was great while it worked; it helped me with lots of around the house stuff. But, alas, it couldn't get pass less than a year and a half of light usage.I really liked this drill.Update: (01-12-2022) I was about to chuck the drill.until it started working again. After letting it sit overnight on the front porch (because of the smokey smell) it started working again at full power. I guess it wasn't "burning," but "overheating" and needed to cool down? I don't know. In any event, it's working again.for now.
