I like the idea of this network filter; It has 8 protected outputs and 2 USB outputs. The USB sockets are probably also surge protected, but I couldn't confirm that in the box, and there wasn't an insert either. Most importantly, it actually has an ETL rating (they're like UL) and there's an LED indicator to let you know the protector is still protecting properly and whether or not it's properly grounded. . Additionally, the USB outputs each deliver about 1 amp at just over 5 volts, and the cable is incredibly long at 9 feet. If I would change something, it would be that all sockets are next to each other. It wasn't until I got this surge protector that I realized how many of the devices I plan to plug into it have large wall warts that render nearby outlets useless. So it has 8 outlets, but I can only use 4 or 5 effectively depending on how hard I want to push the power supplies against each other.
