To make you feel safer. I never realized how important Jules Tate was until the surge protection strip nearly melted. And the USB ports are the added value. I will be ordering more for any areas that have computers, TVs, coffee makers, and appliances. So it is fortunate that there is no fire, and there is no such fear.

It was a good combination of features I needed. Due to a shoulder prosthesis operation, I got myself a recovery room. I needed something with a fairly long cord, plenty of power outlets, and the fact that it had USB ports was a huge plus. I think it's a good product at a very reasonable price and it was delivered to me very quickly.

It's fine for light home use but feels a little pricey for what you get. I could expect an extruded aluminum body that wraps everything for this price point. The plastic on the back feels brittle, but it's hanging from some rafters so I don't think it'll get damaged. But if you're a contractor and you're getting dumped, I'd spend it on something a little more powerful. The plugs themselves appear to be of decent quality, as does the power button. USB ports not tried yet.

When you try to make light out of them, they flicker and dim. If you try to unplug your Raspberry Pi from it, it keeps complaining about undervoltage.
