Does what it should and more

I was looking for 3 things from the extension. Heavy duty, plenty of outlets, and surge protection for my computer gear and accessories. It's amazing how many outlets it takes to install a typical PC and its peripherals in an office, in addition to other things like a calculator, phone, TV, router, etc. 1000 to 2000 joules This extension has 1800 joules, which is more than enough for my needs although it's not 2000 which I would prefer. There are many other things for that. It is definitely very heavy both in the case and in the overtime. The main frame is made from very durable plastic, not the typical cheap plastic frame and casing you find at most outlets. The body itself is made of metal. It has a built in 15 amp circuit breaker so I'm comfortable if I overload the surge protector I won't burn my house down. One of these large chargers or transformers can be plugged in without disturbing the other 7 sockets. In addition to the 8 sockets, the strip also has 2 USB A sockets. If you connect any USB devices, you know that the converters need at least one socket, and sometimes these power converters are big enough to cover the sockets. So with this configuration, the power strip effectively adds 2 more outlets since you don't need USB power converters. Having a 9 foot extension is probably a great convenience for most. In my particular case, a two meter cable would suffice. But the extension gives me the ability to wrap the extra cord with my own Velcro and conveniently tuck the excess out of the way. Most of the best power strips have a backlit power button so you can find it in the dark. . And of course this one has it too. In addition, it gives you 2 indicators to let you know that the power strip is protecting you and working properly. They tell you that the power strip protects your devices and is properly grounded. Although I don't need this feature, the extender has a design that allows it to be hung, secured with 2 keyholes, or mounted in a variety of ways. For the price, the extension offers a significant number of features that meet my needs.
