Replaced an aftermarket Clarion in a 2003 Silverado so the red power wire was already connected to the fuse box. I used crimp connectors on every wire that came from the new Pioneer to this harness. If the color is exactly the same, I crimped it with this tourniquet. If there was no color match, I closed it and left it. Plugged in and it works like clockwork. I have a single din, not a CD pioneer deck installed. No steering wheel controls, no Bose or Onstar, so I didn't need a special extra box. It worked like a charm. The pins didn't need to be moved at all.
