We. Should wear this sweater for my son on any occasion where he needs something other than his typical superhero costumes or loungewear. It's thick, heavy, and seems well made. We haven't washed it yet so I don't know how it will hold up after washing. My son is 7 years old. He is built very thin and weighs 50 pounds. I really think we ordered him a size 8 so he could wear it for well over a year and be comfortable when we put a shirt on him.
