does not stick to doors

I wanted to try this product because I have a beagle who scratches very aggressively. My husband tried putting vinyl or something like that on the door but it wouldn't stick. So he had to try something else. True, our beagle didn't scratch the vinyl, but we couldn't get it to stay on the door. We knew that she and the other beagle would rip off the tape etc. And the nails aren't safe because they play with pretty much everything and put everything in their mouths.
