My only complaint about the Garmin55 was the included magnetic mount. The magnetic device is great if you only want to use it on one vehicle. I travel a lot and rent cars, so a portable dashcam mount was a big deal for me. I actually made my own suction cup mount out of a phone mount, but Garmin ended up making one specifically for the Garmin 55. was very important. The only time this new suction unit gave way was on a rainy and foggy ride and I had to move the mount to better fit the wipers and I tried to get them to stick to the wet and muddy surface . Wiping with a damp and then dry cloth solved the problem and it stuck for the rest of the ride. The suction block is only slightly larger than the original magnetic block, so it's nice that the whole block is still very small. ONLY MY limitation is how many times I can switch the suction block back to the original magnetic block before the clamp block on the camera comes loose and the camera can bend or get out of alignment - but so far, so good.
