Carbon fiber is a very strong and lightweight material, ideal for trekking poles. Unfortunately my sticks arrived with a few problems so I will be returning them.1. The plastic disc fell out of one of the folding joints. The function of the washer may be to prevent damage to the elastic cord connecting the sections. If so, this cable is now unprotected.2. At full compaction, the posts are not equal in length. When comparing two bars side by side, one bar has a longer sleeve (it's fused and not adjustable) that sticks out further. It will most likely become a point of instability and possibly a break on the track. This is due to poor quality control.3. The longer rod should be "pushed" into the storage bag compared to the other rod. The probable reason is that it doesn't match the original length specification.4. The "CU" plastic clip (shown in the Revain product photo) was missing from the packaging.
