Check your DVD recorder/drive and DVD player for DVD+R compatibility before purchasing. If it is compatible, please buy this DVD media. In my opinion, Memorex does an excellent job of quality control. After purchasing over 50 blank DVD+R discs (which I use with a Sony DRX-510UL external DVD burner running Windows XP) I haven't had any problems. Every slice was perfect; without stand. DVD+R enables recording. If the record breaks during recording, that's it. This is an expensive coffee table stand. If you need to erase/rewrite data on a DVD, please use Memorex DVD+RW discs. (Also highly recommended.) Just make sure your DVD drives support the format/medium. (Manufacturers should have compatibility lists on their respective websites.) Three recommendations: 1.) Buy in bulk to save $$. 10 discs is a good start; consider a larger purchase to save $$ (if you need the discs). 2.) If you are unsure about the DVD+R format (and other formats), do some research online to understand the pros and cons of DVD+R. , DVD+RW, DVD-R and DVD-RW.3.) Make sure your DVD burner drive(s) * and * your DVD player are compatible with the DVD+R format. Most new DVD players can work with DVD+R. Memorex does a great job with these DVD+R discs.
