Each tool alone does not cover 100% of the different filter types or locations but because you are getting two different tools; The purchase feels a lot better. Obviously pliers work great if you have enough room to use them and there is also room for a wrench if you can't use pliers or an adjustable strap/wrench (don't know what they're called but I have one too ). ) . I mean it's a good buy, the more variety you have in your toolbox the better problem you can solve, especially if the dealer overtightened the oil filter.
