This purchase was for a specific use case. It was used to assemble the NMO antenna mount by cutting one end of the cable and soldering it directly to the thick Laird NMO mount. I've been in the 12 volt electronics trade for over 27 years so I'm not new to soldering, electrical repairs, etc. Resistor. Everything looked fine so I installed it in my car, hooked up the antenna and checked my SWR. I was amazed when I saw 11:1 on VHF and 19:1 on UHF on the meter. I even tried multiple antennas and eventually two other radios. All had similar results. I replaced the wire, kept the same NMO mount, and just soldered a different brand wire to the mount. My SWR dropped to 1:3 on VHF and 1:8 on UHF. It was easily identified as a defective low-loss cable. I wouldn't recommend it at all, especially given the results I've experienced.
