I'm reviewing the product vs shipping as it arrived with dented legs. It's a 25 pound brick, please wrap the damn thing right! WTF. My rating reflects the use of this product in an audio system. A lot of people obviously use it for this purpose. I read the reviews and tried it. My system is minimal but reliable. I have vinyl Nirvana 160 Super with copper Ortofon. My amp is a Schweizer or VSOP powered by Rhethm Maargas. I don't want to spend money on mundane things. It sits on an IKEA Lack side table, which is actually great for audio gear. My cables are good but not branded. They arrived and I got angry. But it's damn hard. So I twisted the metal and put thick felt pads on the corners. My system was reconfigured for it, so all I had to do was plug something in. I was playing in a Paul McCartney box the other day and the first record was on the turntable. Holy shit! I immediately heard the difference. Others have noticed that the background ground has become blacker, less visible, whatever you want to call it. Yes. In addition, the music became more alive and additional details became clear. I rate audio products based on how they perform on my system in my room. Your mileage may vary. I can upgrade to 1000 watts if I have extra money. I'm playing Wilco right now and I can hear the difference in background detail as well. I never spend more than a thousand on an air conditioner, but I certainly recommend it as a solution for the equally pragmatic.
