This is my regular lens to use with my D800; It fills the gap between the focal lengths of my 35mm and 70-200mm lenses and is high quality but also the cheapest of the three, its value for money. The Nikon 60mm f2.8 AF-S G delivers extremely low distortion, very good sharpness, excellent contrast and color reproduction. At close range I always use manual focus (often with a tripod and/or flash) and this is where the image quality of the lens really shines; The autofocus is very accurate for general photography, although I don't shoot fast-moving subjects. I like the close focus ability, internal focus, light weight and build quality;
