I've been looking for months for a "California style" Christmas stocking to sew for my future grandson. That seemed like the perfect answer. After a thorough inspection upon delivery I was very disappointed. The canvas with the template was missing/didn't show important parts of the design. There were no vertical hot air balloon bands separating the sections. In the middle part, both Santa Claus and the penguin were practically invisible. The outlines of the holly leaves are missing, as is the penguin hat and the outline of Rudolf, more so his horns/ears. However, the yarn choice was right. With a little help from a local craft store, I was able to purchase additional 50% wool, 50% silk yarn in the same shades that more closely match the fabrics used for balloons. in a balloon with jagged edges near the top? This cannot simply be transferred to the canvas with a needle. I am also changing the name of the sock and banner to a royal blue wool and silk mix. It's for a boy, after all. Please note that I would happily pay more if I had a guarantee that the entire drawing was correctly transferred to the canvas. May I make a few recommendations? Have the designer transfer the design to the canvas with a needle. This is one way to ensure that the pattern uses only the squares and not the spaces between them. Quality control improvements and/or process modifications should be reviewed. Of course, better quality control on the "print transfer line” would be a real plus. Note that while the needle shop canvases exceeded my budget and started at $300, I was willing to pay over $50 for this set provided the pattern was handed over. To the right. When I started working on it I hoped I could solve these problems. I'm continuing to work on it very slowly, although I had higher expectations from the start. Note that although the canvases in the embroidery were over my budget, starting at $300, I was willing to pay over $50 for this kit provided the pattern was transferred correctly.
