Ironic Plates - Disposable, yet Made to Last

This box was surprisingly heavy when it arrived. Individually, each plate is no thicker than other disposable plates that are more plastic-y and not paper-y. The material is like the material used in those black disposable baking pans. They are sturdy, yet a bit pliable - they are not those super-rigid type of plastic plates that crack. These would probably fold and warp with a lot of effort, but I doubt they would crack. The product description said that these plates are safe and good to use in the microwave to heat up things. To put the first one to the test, I used cheese and cheese bread - two things that I have found melt many plastic-y type disposable plates. 45 seconds on high (see video), and the cheese and bread came out sizzling hot. but no melted plastic. The plate came through pretty much unscathed. There is the slightest warping in the bigger compartment where the cheese bread was heated up, but the plate is in no way compromised. I've also included a couple of post-test pictures, one right after the melted cheese and bread came out (so you see a lot of oil) and then one after I wiped it out with a paper towel. These plates seem to be exactly what they are advertised to be - and can be used multiple times in the microwave.
