Review on Diane Bobby Pins Black Approximately by Angie Thomas

Doesn't hold up, loses shape, loses end

Disappointing! This brand of invisible hair pins was recommended to me by a hair blog I love. The lady who runs the blog called them "game changers". I would say that unfortunately they are not for the better. That's why. 1) They don't stick. Just this morning I tried braiding my hair and used some of these bobby pins to pin it up. It just didn't work. From the stack of needles I pulled an old drugstore hair clip, definitely not Diane's, and slipped it into my hair. bam! Instantly my hair held in place. I felt it on my head and good as in my hands. Diana's invisible hairpins just wouldn't hold. 2) You open up too easily. My hair is fine, but Diane's bobby pins bend too easily and stay undone. You also have to be careful not to open them too far when inserting them, otherwise they'll lose their shape too. Once they lose their form, they are useless. 3) Rubber tips come off too easily. When I first received the box, I pulled my whole hand out to look at it and noticed that a few rubber tips were missing. I started sorting them into 2 batches, one with rubber tips intact and one with one or both rubber tips missing. Without the invisibles, the stack of missing rubber tips was about 1/3 of the box. Have you ever run a bare metal stealth over your scalp? Ouch! Between lost tips and lost form, I threw away half the box and only bought it 4 months ago. I'm a nurse and I wear my hair most of the day. I need good studs. I'm sorry, but that's not it. I will not buy again. I do not recommend buying.
