I didn't realize until I opened the package that the sheath for the cable is braided nylon. That was a pleasant surprise. The stock cable was beginning to short out if I had it in a certain position, so I needed a new cable. The end connecting to the headphones fits very snug (which is good) and the end connecting to the computer comes straight out of the computer; it isn't angled like the cable it replaced. This results in taking up a little more room, laterally, but I can live with that. However, that end also has a flexible metal reinforcement piece over the sheath to protect the cable at that stress point. It should hold up a lot better than the stock cable it replaced. Sound is perfect. (Headphones are model AE2)
