It's thinner than some suits and definitely wetsuits, but because of that it doesn't compress or compress in unusual places, making it very attractive. I love how the design separates the top and bottom halves so people with short legs and a long torso don't look too weird in them. I had to beef up the thumb hole when I got it, but oh well. It's fairly affordable and I wear it to my midday swim so I don't have to put on as much sunscreen. I'm happy with it!
