Works well overall with hardware
Overall this is a good gate latch that does what it is designed to do. I had an issue where the screws were pulling out of the bar that attaches to the gate. Although my 7 year old regularly slams it like a car door, that may have been the problem. Just drill holes in the gate and insert bolts and problem solved.
