Review on 🌬️ Hayden Automotive 2789 Premium Fan Clutch: Efficient Cooling Solution for Optimal Performance by David West

Failed Early Replacement Parts

I replaced this on my 2004 Ford Expedition 5.4L Eddie Bauer Edition as preventive maintenance. I've found the fan to work more at low engine speeds, but I like that it provides more cooling power at lower engine speeds. And it sounds great with the engine roaring at startup. I have installed it about 5000 km so far without any problems. -- UPDATED -- The text above is what I wrote in my original review. A few months after writing this review, I noticed that the fan clutch would not disengage at all. He was busy all the time. While annoying, I decided the labor involved in the repair wasn't worth the cost. Of course, failure to turn off means the fan was to blame, which puts extra stress on the motor and potentially causes other parts to fail. But I still didn't want to spend money on a replacement. Finally, after a few more months, we noticed a groaning noise coming from the engine. We were very worried about the sound and brought it to the store. I suspected it was the fan clutch. They replaced the clutch (I didn't install the part this time) and that was the reason. The installed part caused no problems. This part lasted less than two years. I installed it on 7/20/2014 and replaced it on 1/9/2016 after less than 20,000 miles. I'm changing my rating from five stars to one star. In fact, that experience and a few other defective parts I bought online made me stop buying auto parts from Revain and the internet in general. What do you do when you spend hundreds of dollars installing it and then replace a failed $40 part? In this case it would be cheaper if the workshop bought the part itself. Much cheaper. I know there is a problem with counterfeit auto parts. When you buy a Revain part, how do you know it's a genuine part and not a counterfeit? I still buy parts online, but now I avoid unknown brands like Hayden and no longer buy from Revain. I use the services of an online store specializing in the sale of car parts and I am interested in the authenticity of its parts. It still makes me very nervous because even if it's a brand name, it might not be the real thing. Fake parts break sooner or later, just like this one. I would NOT buy this item again. If you buy, be prepared to replace a part sooner.
