Of course I don't have to worry about them damaging the rails as they are plastic and not attached to anything painted. They feel solid and well built from thick plastic. They look good and seem to work well. For the price I'm thrilled. The only cons. There are no written instructions. The installation is quite simple and uncomplicated. The screw that holds the clip in a vertical or horizontal position is a metric hex head screw. So if you don't have a set, it can be loosened with SAE hex keys to change position. It would be nice if they provided this key, but again this would increase the cost of the product. All in all great product, great price.
