I have a pair of Madewell leather slippers and after wearing them to work for 2 years they are looking quite worn especially with heels. I used a very light finish, I mean I just touched the cream with a cloth and then rubbed it into the shoes and they look the same as the day I bought them. There was some color rendering, but not enough to make a difference. I think if you really saturate the skin it will wear more, but I just wanted a gentle recovery, not intense hydration. This cream is worth every penny!
