Review on Enhanced Visibility 3M Privacy Filter for 14-inch Laptop with COMPLY Attachment System (HC140W9B) by Dave Brummet

I'm not sure what I think of this filter. I installed it on a new 6th Gen Lenovo X1 Carbon and it's a filter on the 3m website that states usage. The screen protector fits the actual screen almost exactly and basically sits in a frame on the screen. The bezel is very small on the sides so I had to use retractable tabs which seem to hold it up well, but the clear plastic lip holding the screen protector covers the screen a bit. Over time, this can become more annoying. It also has a small notch at the top of the screen protector that leaves it slightly exposed, making it look odd right where the web browser tabs are. The privacy screen part is pretty decent and does a good job of blocking the view from the side. However, it seems to look a bit pixelated, which is kind of weird. "High Definition" didn't impress me. I had another 3m privacy filter on my Yoga 900 and Yoga 710 and they didn't seem to give it that pixelated look. They were also higher tiers that used blue sticky material on the top and bottom bezels (well, it was smooth glass to the rim, but there was black unused bezel, here just a flush instead of a slightly raised bezel) instead of a slider. which looked much better but was difficult to clean. It's tempting to send this back and see if there's one that's the same width but slightly larger to allow for the top and bottom to be clipped. The model number pushed into the filter in the top right corner also hides and disguises the appearance of open tabs or whatever in the top right corner of the screen and you can read 3m hc140w9b where you have things on the screen who are lame. For higher ones on other models, the model number was on the bezel and didn't matter at all.
