I bought these socks at the request of my mother, because she wanted to make a monkey out of a sock for her daughter's birthday. Everyone in my family had a sock monkey as a child (most were made by my great-grandmother), and my mother continues the tradition. The included instructions required a bit of interpretation, but the end result is beautiful. My daughter's sock monkey looks just like mine thirty years ago and she takes it to bed every night. The sock has held up well for several months and I hope it will stand the test of time as well as mine. And yes, we still have mine!
