I needed a tool to clamp an aluminum angle square so I could drill through and use rivets to make a permanent connection. While this use case was a bit awkward for one person at first, things got a lot easier once I put the clamp in a vise. The mechanism is a little sloppier than it looks in the photos, but that sloppiness actually benefited my aluminum corner use case, so it's been fine for me, and it'll probably be fine for whatever you need, like this clamp for this side high tolerance machining. The clip is painted gray and I was hoping it would be clear coated aluminum like in some photos, but that doesn't really affect usage, it just means it's more likely to get scratched over time. This is of course not critical to the tool. Overall I'm happy with this purchase and would buy again if I had the same needs and haven't had one yet.
