Cleaning is not difficult, only if laziness.
It's not hard to pull out the basket and clean it, the coffee tastes just as good as my Keurig. The coffee takes a long time to brew, but for $17 I really can't complain. If you're picky, you're better off spending more money or getting your ass off and learning how to wash dishes. I returned the Black and Decker model in this price range and received this instead, I recommend this one instead.
