Yes it aerates. I regret the purchase. It is extremely efficient to aerate the wort simply by pouring it from a height of 3-4 feet above the brew kettle. If you have a bottle with a narrow neck instead, you can pour back and forth a few times. Maybe the problem for me is that my wort is thicker? I like stouts and porters. It would take all day for this tiny outlet to aerate my wort and I just poured my wort over it and thought it was fine. Maybe I can think of another hobby that I can use in the future. But right now it's wasted money.
