I was looking for a fan or fans to replace my five small electric desktop fans that finally fell apart after 20-25 years of use. I remember buying them on sale at Best Buy for about $30 each. The last of the five is still running, but I can hear the engine screeching loudly. I bought one of these fans to see if I liked it. I was so impressed that I bought more because I have fans everywhere in the house: two on the table, one in the kitchen, two on the bedside tables. you have the idea Note: I need these little fans because I overheat easily. It's always been like this since I got back from the army. I also use a fan that attaches to the head of the bed or nightstand. I blow on a fan to create a personal cool breeze that my wife doesn't like or need. And since I have a lot of tinnitus, I need the white noise that the fan motor provides. An additional advantage is that insects and mosquitoes cannot land on your face when a fan is blowing on it. For example mosquitoes aren't strong enough to defeat the wind protecting your face, your face is like an Enterprise with a force field protecting it from the Klingons. Proof that it works: A few times I forgot to turn on the fan. Of course I can hear those little suction cups landing to suck the blood out of my body. Reasons why I love this fan: - It's not clear in the ad, but this fan can be powered in many ways: 1) With the included batteries; 2) with a USB cable connected from the fan to the phone charger; 3) with a USB cable connected to the USB port of the computer; 4) to a cell phone charger or computer WITHOUT batteries in the fan; or 5) to a cell phone charger or computer with batteries in the fan, which will simultaneously charge the included batteries. Edge, table edge, bedside table, or any surface two inches thick or less. But it can also be used as a desktop or desktop fan. With the included batteries weighing it down, the base is pretty stable. Without batteries, the fan was still stable at full power. - A notice. The clip has rubber pads to ensure a secure grip so it will not damage the surfaces it is attached to. Spring is pretty strong. It won't budge from anything you attach it to. Again, the mouth of the clamp opens to a width of 2 inches. - Almost infinite positioning: The fan spins up, down and in circles like a globe. You can position the fan to blow air in almost any direction. NOTE: THIS FAN IS NOT POWERED. One of the features I like the most is the rotary knob that allows you to adjust the fan speed to your liking. IOW You are not limited to the typical bass, mid and treble switches found on most fans in this price range. The power control adjusts the speed of the blade from light to so high that the gale force wind it generates sends your uncle's Hair Club For Men wig flying like a bird. It has TWO USB ports. One is a full-size Type-A jack and the other is a microUSB connector. I connected the fan to a USB cell phone charger, removed the batteries and the fan started working like an electric fan. I connected my phone to the microUSB port. Big fan batteries charged my phone. In other words, this fan's batteries can act as a cell phone charger. How cool, very cool. In general, the fan, clip and battery compartment take up little space. The blades and body are about 5.5 inches in diameter - I used a tape measure and ATM receipt for a wind test. Ten feet from the fan at maximum power, I grabbed an ATM receipt. The wind moved the receipt like a light wind. IOW ten feet away I could feel the breeze from the fan. This fan is so powerful I would rate it as capable of mixing air in a 200 foot room. - Calm. In a room where there is no other noise, you can hear the fan, but if you work indoors, no one will notice. A full explosion produces a buzzing sound, but not so loud that it's annoying. These batteries are HUGE, but their benefit is that you can power devices for a very long time (hence the seller's claim that this fan can run for up to 40 hours straight at low speed). Speed I ran mine by the bed all night, it worked fine after 8 hours at top speed. Update: I took a fan out for an informal dinner. The day was hot, so there was no time to cool down in the evening. Also, I overheat easily. For me, 70 degrees is a very warm day. 75 degrees, I suffer. I put the fan on the table and pointed at myself. I ran the fan at high speed for two hours. He worked flawlessly and made dinner very enjoyable. The fan looks well made. It's thick plastic and doesn't look like a $20 fan. If not abused I see it last for years. I don't know how good the motor is, but running it every day for two years feels like it's worth $20. Bonus tip: I used double-sided tape to attach the little clock in the middle. fan housing. Not only has the fan become more functional with the watch, but it also looks a lot better than the rubber insert with the PROYOU logo. Get that fan or three. You will not regret it.
