As expected. The only tiny problem is dripping around the wide opening. Luckily, my carafe from the (annually) defunct Mr. Coffee works with this one too, with fewer drips. But really not a big problem. Very glad there is a coffee maker that knows how to brew good coffee and not just quick and weak coffee like most here. Also, stainless steel doesn't pick up fingerprints as quickly as I feared.
