With careful handling and storage, the best after grated cheese. It's very sharp (since you'll shave your fingers if you don't practice being careful with your cutlery). This is positive because it means very light work and finely grated cheese. Make sure to keep the lid and use it when storing to avoid drawer accidents. I've heard some people complain about cutting themselves on it. Is that so. I've worn it too, but careful use matters. Do not blame the tool for misuse. If you hold the grater and the material to be chopped carefully (e.g. not trying to get the very last bits) then you will have a great experience. The handle is well formed and easy to grip, and the chopper frame is solid. and the Durable Plus has a stop for sanding. Very well thought out grinder. We have washed it in the dishwasher many times and it always holds up very well. We have tried several paper shredders but this is by far the best. I highly recommend this product.
