I use this with a Samsung Tab Pro 12.2 inch and have tried it in a Mazda 6 and the latest GMC full size van, Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit. You attach a suction cup to the windshield and place your hand on the dashboard. It's a solid mechanism. I use it in landscape mode, but this device holds the tablet even in portrait mode, with prongs holding the tablet to the sides. Still, it's fairly quick and easy to insert and remove the tablet. The suction cup is incredibly strong and I'm not worried at all about it coming loose. It comes with four shorter and four longer prongs so you can adjust it. Your tablet is pretty accurate. It fits 12.2 snugly with the four longer prongs. I've found that by attaching a suction cup rotated slightly to the left I can get the perfect angle for the screen, especially in the GMC. How many inches longer and the head might turn a bit. More sure, but with a little effort I've always managed to get the tablet exactly where I wanted it. The way you can adjust the tines from side to side is handy. It comes with tiny rubber stoppers to insert into the rails to keep the pins from slipping out, but I can't get them to fit. Wasn't a problem. I'd like it even more if it came with a piece of rubber to fit over the arm so where it sits on the dash can absorb some shock, but that's not really an issue. Does what it should and makes a solid and well thought-out impression. Good design, especially for the price. Thank you Arcon.
