I just received it, took it out of my bag and immediately put it on the table. THE SMELL IS SO BAD and so strong that I had to take it outside. To be honest, I've never smelled such a strong smell. I'm not sure if it's worth washing because I'm not sure if it will smell that strong. As if it had been infused with a strong chemical. When I announced how awful it smelled my kids came running and of course covered their faces directly in front of it and now I worry about them and if the chemical is safe and I don't usually worry. That thing smells so terribly poisonous. I had never felt anything like this before.
