I dropped the star for strength because the horns can bend when dropped. That happened to me. I just bent them back and it's still perfectly accurate. Thing is still great. I have a feeling this will last forever and my favorite feature is the double sided lettering. I lost it for a while and hated using my metal stanley because I could read the back of the tape. Luckily I found it in the attic where I was working a few weeks ago - a mannequin. Either way, you won't be disappointed, especially at this price point.
