My opinion is if you love your goldfish (2000 gallon pond) DO NOT use this product. I've used it successfully in the past so I bought it again to deal with new blooms. Tuesday a week ago. Three days later the plaque hadn't gone away, so on Friday I used it again as instructed. Then on Saturday, a day after the second treatment, I did not see a single fish (out of 20), looked into all their usual shelters and nothing. Eventually I could see about 5 of them hiding in lily pad roots. I was devastated. I thought I had lost 15 fish and since there were no swimming fish I concluded that they must have been caught by a heron or raccoon. I assumed that those who stayed behind were injured and therefore did not come out. I've done everything you do when you have a heron in your neighborhood, down to the pond netting (ugly). Then, slowly but surely, I saw more and more appear over several days until I finally realized that none of them had been hiding for that long, if not because of the predator. So fast forward to yesterday when I noticed the greens were back and using the algae fix again. Guess what? Everyone hides again. The network has not moved, which means that there is no predator. So what was the common denominator? fix algae. I did some research and one of the things that causes fish to hide is stress from water quality. So I hope they all survive (lost one after coming out of hiding the first time). (I have tried to isolate him in a fish hospital to keep him away from others to avoid him telling others what is wrong with him. The weird thing is that I have treated the water by adding 50% Did water changes, treatment for bacterial infections and yesterday added a very small amount of seaweed fix because overnight it turned green and the fish were dead - even after a week of noticing progress I know this is long and complicated but read on please the 1 star comments and ask yourself if this is risky Katharina
