I recently bought and used Dremel 421 Polishing Compound and wow! First, this product is very affordable. I bought it for just a few dollars. Next, this product does its job. I recently dug up an old stainless steel bin that was gathering dust in my attic. I don't know why, but the outer layer of the urn was foamed with some kind of alien, greasy substance (which probably sat in the attic for years). I took it out and soaked it in hot, soapy water for about an hour. After wiping it, I felt the metal surface was still a bit dull and lifeless. Dremel 421 Polishing Paste solved this problem immediately. If earlier the urn had a matte form of the original, then after polishing the surface is clearly comparable to chrome. I know this analogy might seem a bit over the top, but I think for those who need to quickly spice up something else in the house, this product is perfect. Make sure you wipe down the surface of your metals before using this polish for a higher shine. In addition, the Dremel 421 Polishing Paste has its own kit that you can purchase for a better polish. If you're looking for an industrial quality polish that can cost as much as $200, this isn't your product. But for everything else a Dremel is best.
