This camera has excellent day and night vision. Better than the 1080p cameras that came with my 3 year old Swan system. The camera works in HD, the night vision is excellent. Motion detection also works with cameras! I bought one to test and will be buying more. The only thing I don't like is the 4 position switch that is attached to the power line. It's probably 3/4 inch in diameter. So if you need to drill a hole in the wall, it needs to be a little bigger than usual. never mind cable connection. They are NOT waterproof and I've had a few breakages in the connector pins on my Swann cameras. On my newer Zosi cameras I've put a drop of petroleum jelly on the connector pins in hopes that it will increase durability.
