Pros: I live in Minnesota and have a 1998 F150 sitting outside in the cold (garage is full). This battery heater works great to keep the battery warm so the battery doesn't freeze when it gets really cold outside. The truck starts right away even if it's minus 20 degrees outside. Before I had this heater and it was very cold, I had to start the truck every day and let it run for a while even if I didn't need it. This allowed the truck to warm up and keep the battery charged so it didn't freeze. Using this heater is much easier, it only has 80 watts and therefore consumes very little electricity. Cons: The cable is a bit short and the twisted zip ties aren't ideal. Long cord and cable ties would have been better.
